Former High-Ranking DEA Official Joins Cegedim Relationship Management

Mark W. Caverly Will Bolster Pharmaceutical Industry’s Leading Regulatory Compliance Business

Bedminster, NJ – May 9, 2011 Cegedim Relationship Management, the leading global provider of Regulatory Compliance, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Data and Marketing Solutions to the Life Sciences industry, today announced that the company has hired Mark W. Caverly, one of the nation’s foremost experts in complying with U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations.

Mr. Caverly, who had a distinguished, 31-year career with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be a Senior DEA Regulatory Consultant for Cegedim Relationship Management, effective immediately.  In his most recent role with the agency, Mr. Caverly served as the Chief of the Liaison and Policy Section within the Office of Diversion Control at DEA Headquarters, where he was the primary point of contact to regulated industry and associations, providing interpretations of federal law and regulations to Congressional staff, DEA registrants and the general public.  Mr. Caverly also served many years as a DEA field investigator and supervisor and was a frequent DEA spokesperson, both in the field and while at DEA headquarters.

Mr. Caverly is the latest addition to Cegedim Relationship Management’s regulatory compliance consulting team, which includes many former government and industry compliance leaders. As part of the team, Mr. Caverly will be responsible for assisting clients with the regulatory requirements of the DEA including on-site reviews and “mock” inspections, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) review and development, regulatory training, off-site or on-site general consultation, and expert guidance regarding DEA compliance issues.
